Psychopharmacology Across the Lifespan, Christchurch, 30 June

Recent developments and issues related to medication in psychiatric disorders will be explored across the lifespan by Dr Matt Eggleston, Dr James Foulds and Dr Sandy Macleod. 

Dr Matt Eggleston is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who has a particular interest in neurodevelopmental aspects of psychiatry including ADHD, autism Spectrum disorders and learning disorders. He works in an outpatient child and adolescent mental health service for the CDHB. He was on the writing team for the 2008 Autism Spectrum Guideline and he chairs the Autism Spectrum Living Guideline Group. Dr James Foulds is a psychiatrist who recently began working with the Regional Forensic Service in Canterbury. He has a PhD in the area of alcohol-related mental illness, and his research interests include the intersection between personality, substance use and mental health. Dr Sandy Macleod is a psychiatrist and palliative medicine specialist who has worked predominantly in Consultant Liaison Psychiatry, but now helps out part-time in Older Person’s Mental Health at Burwood Hospital.
