Two Day Professional Development Seminar

Wellington: 12-13 June 2020
Christchurch: 17 - 18 June 2020
Auckland: 22 - 23 June 2020

Following the popularity of this workshop in Australia and Dunedin in 2019, we are delighted to bring Snow White to New Zealand again in 2020!

Program Overview

Harnessing the fairytale of Snow White as a metaphor, Naomi provides practical strategies for the treatment of complex trauma. The characters in the story will provide a conceptual framework applicable to core trauma symptoms, behaviours and diagnosis.

Tracking four survival responses, fight, flight, freeze and submit, particular attention will focus on working within the window of tolerance to enhance skills to create safety and stabilization. Participants will learn how to identify which strategies to apply when, to assist clients to process and integrate the impacts of attachment and relational issues related to neglect, abuse and other trauma.

The Snow White model is relevant to any client presenting with a history of complex and/or developmental trauma irrespective of diagnosis. Using video, case examples and exercises, Naomi will illustrate complex presentations in an engaging and easy to understand approach.
