|Bio:||Helen Inkster studied at Canterbury University, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 1995. She is registered with the NZ Psychologists Board and is a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. Helen has worked in many fields both private, contracting and in the public sector with adults and adolescents.
Helen has maintained a private practise for 20 years and is now opening her books to new clients. She has a specific interested in working with trauma, anxiety and stress. She is keen to work with professionals to maintain their own wellness, in particular, the prevention of burnout.
Helen has a practical, down to earth style, and works well with people from all walks of life. She uses a Cognitive Behavioural techniques, incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also EMDR trained (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and has used this technique successfully for 15 years.
