Nurture Psychology is a well regarded private practice of Clinical Psychologists & Counselling Psychologists (+ Dietitian) in Parnell Auckland, with satellite clinics in Wellington and Christchurch. We are passionate about offering compassionate, evidence-based treatment for clients with eating disorders and their common comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma) across the developmental spectrum. As a specialist eating disorder service, we take an integrative approach to psychological treatment, tailoring current & emerging evidence-based treatment to the individual formulation of our adolescent/family and adult clients.

Due to ongoing referral demand, we are seeking further experienced NZ registered Clinical, Counselling or Health Psychologists to join our supportive & collaborative team, in both our Auckland and Christchurch clinics. There is room to work across the full range of eating disorder presentations, or see you preferred presentations (eg adult/teen, AN/BN) based on interest, capability, and referral presentations (including some general mental health work).

Prior experience in eating disorder work is desirable but not essential - our priority for our next team member is finding someone with a genuine interest in and passion for this work, and a strong commitment to upskilling as/if required. Internal supervision & training in best-practice eating disorder treatment is provided as appropriate, with a focus on high support from our clinical director in the first 6-12 months. Opportunity to collaborate on active research within the field also exists.

We offer a strong referral base, a friendly & collaborative team environment, expert clinical supervision, strong brand reputation, full admin support (client bookings/cancellations, management of payments/invoicing etc) and established electronic clinical & administrative systems. Our clinic is based in a high-end 6* environmentally friendly building on Parnell road boasting abundant natural light and a genuine therapeutic feel, making it a pleasure to come to work. Within the contractor model, all operating expenses, rent, admin support, clinical supervision, and day to day expenses are covered, removing the typical time-consuming admin burden of private practice and freeing you to simply practice psychology.

You will hold registration with the NZ Psychologists Board under the Clinical or Counselling scope (or general scope for Health, C&A Psychologists), a current APC, & professional indemnity insurance. Flexible options are available, from 2-4 days (3-4 days preferred), with hourly rate based on ED experience & supervision requirements. Apply here on seek, or casual enquiries are welcomed via email - we would love to hear from you!
