Grief Centre upcoming live webinars
The Grief Centre is delighted to present the following professional development webinars next month.
Coercive control in the context of family violence: Understanding grief and trauma
Family violence is often misunderstood as a series of isolated incidents, but in reality, it follows deeply ingrained patterns of coercive control, entrapment, and harm. This webinar explores the hidden dynamics of coercive control, the barriers victims face in seeking support, and how discrimination and systemic responses can unintentionally trap them in abuse. Whether you work directly with family violence or not, this session will help you recognise risk, ask the right questions, and contribute to early identification and intervention before violence escalates.
Presenter: Debbs Murray from Eclipse Family Violence Services
Date: Tuesday 15th April, 1-3pm NZDT (recording provided if you can’t make this time)
