Awards and Grants

This is a special category of Membership that is available to current financial Members of the NZCCP only

The purpose of this membership category is to honour a Member’s significant and pre-eminent contribution to the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists or the Psychology profession in general, over an extended period of time.

Fellowship is awarded by the NZCCP National Executive following consideration by that body (or delegated sub-committee) of a written nomination by at least two existing Members of The College.  The National Executive shall consult with the local branch to which the nominee belongs.

If the nomination is successful the NZCCP National Executive offers the award to the nominee. Upon acceptance, the award is presented at the next AGM and also printed in the next publication of the NZ Clinical Psychologists journal following that AGM.

The Fellow has the same rights, privileges and obligations as all other Members of The College with the exception that she or he may use the title Fellow of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and FNZCCP in their listed memberships and qualifications.

This is a special membership category that is for Retired College Members

The purpose of this membership category is to honour a previous Member’s long-standing commitment and contribution to The College and to retain his or her wealth of accumulated knowledge and experience in the ongoing “existence” of The College by encouraging his or her continued involvement.

Life Membership status is awarded to those previous NZCCP Members by the NZCCP National Executive following consideration by that body (or delegated subcommittee) of a written nomination by at least two existing Members of The College.

If the nomination is successful the NZCCP National Executive offers the award to the nominee. Upon acceptance, the award is presented at the next AGM and also printed in the next publication of the NZ Clinical Psychologist following that AGM.

The Life Member, being a non-practising clinician, does not have the same supervision or financial obligations as all other Members but this Member does have an ongoing obligation to all other relevant Rules of The College.

A Life Member retains voting and all other rights of Members and will still receive all publications and information.

The Life Member may use the title Life Member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and use the acronym MNZCCP (Life) in their qualifications.

The purpose of the grant is to enhance leadership capabilities of NZCCP members by supporting further education and/or research in the field of clinical leadership. Money awarded will assist members to conduct research and/or participate in an educational opportunity/skills training on the topic of leadership. Money awarded will assist the recipient to undertake travel or a similar specific activity to further their education or interest in a clinical or research activity related to clinical psychology. Click apply now to download the application form with full grant information.

The purpose of this award is to assist the recipient to undertake the development of their knowledge and skills in Clinical Psychology and its application.
