|Bio:||Phoebe is an Auckland-based Clinical Psychologist working in private practice across Meadowbank and Parnell sites, and a certified 200hr Yoga Teacher. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health drawing upon physical, mental, and social factors that contribute to overall wellbeing.
Phoebe is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults in treating mental illness and promoting general resilience and wellbeing, and believes that everyone can work on their mental health, not just those with a diagnosed mental illness. She has particular experience and interest in the treatment of negative body image and disordered eating behaviour, low mood, emotion dysregulation, anxiety disorders (such as OCD, specific phobias, generalized anxiety, panic attacks), stress management, parenting support, and sports psychology interventions. She is also interested in the management of pain and other physical conditions, and working with trauma.
Phoebe utilises a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of each individual walking through the door. These primarily include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Meditation, and elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
