| Bio: | Kate is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She strives to work in a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and approachable manner. Kate’s main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She aims to provide evidence-based and supportive therapy that is tailored to meet individual needs. Kate has experience in undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments and providing therapy on both an individual and group basis. She has experience working in private and public healthcare and criminal justice settings. Kate has also worked in the clinical research field as part of the University of Canterbury’s Mental Health and Nutrition Research group undertaking assessments of children who were engaged in treatment for ADHD. Alongside private work, Kate continues to work in the criminal justice sector with clients under the care of the Department of Corrections. Kate enjoys working with individuals struggling with anxiety and mood difficulties and she has a special interest in assessing adult ADHD. In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her young family and socialising with friends. |
