Bio: | Ellen is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and an associate member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She completed a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Psychology, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology at the University of Canterbury. Ellen has experience in public mental health settings, within the criminal justice sector, with carrying out comprehensive clinical assessments and individual and group treatment. Ellen has a passion for enhancing mental well-being, utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She provides compassionate, culturally responsive and personalised psychological treatment to meet each client's needs. Using an evidence-based and client-centered approach, Ellen tailors assessments and therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual. Ellen enjoys working with a diverse range of individuals struggling with mood and anxiety difficulties, and has a particular interest in assessing adult ADHD. Alongside private work, Ellen continues to work in the criminal justice sector with the Department of Corrections where she provides assessment and treatment for clients. Ellen loves to spend her spare time in the great outdoors. She enjoys a good tramp, and when the snow comes she loves to head up the mountain with her skis. |
