Bio: I am originally from New Jersey in the USA and sailed to New Zealand in 1999 - I have been living here ever since. My journey to becoming a clinical psychologist has not been a straight line and I have many strings to my bow so to speak. This includes being a sailor, a musician, a chef, a music therapist, a cold ocean plunger, a parent, an artist, a member of the rainbow community, and a clinical psychologist.

I have a PhD in psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology and I am a member of the NZ College of Clinical Psychologists (MNZCCP). I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Schema Therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ) and use elements of DBT (Dialectical Behavioiural Therapy) where appropriate. I also have a Masters Degree in Music Therapy and practised as a registered Music Therapist for 10 years prior returning to the world of academia to study Clinical Psychology. I am a registered ACC sensitive claims provider.
