Bio: | Kia ora koutou. I am Liz Baker, clinical psychologist. I received my doctoral training the United States in 2010. I currently specialize in group, individual, and relational treatment for people living with persistent pain. I believe that mindfulness, self-compassion, connecting relationships, and values congruent activities are keys components to living with chronic medical difficulties. Before coming to Aotearoa, I worked as a pain psychologist and neuropsychologist at Utah Valley Pain Management in Orem, Utah for 12 years. I now find great joy my involvement with the interdisciplinary pain management team at Dunedin Hospital Persistent Pain Service. In addition, I offer generalist therapy services through my private practice, Liz Baker Psychological Services. Outside of work, I have a partner, two kids, and two cats. I love singing, crafts, being with loved ones and the outdoors. |
Availability: | While PPS services are subject to the hospital referral and triage protocols, there is limited space in my private practice for virtual only therapy services. |
