Empath offers online psychology appointments through video-conferencing Empath was founded by Dr Jerry Hsu Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer at the University of Otago School of Medicine. We believe that many people who experience psychological distress have nowhere to turn to especially people who may still be meeting life\s needs and may appear \'happy\' to others. Empath is a platform for adults who can meet life\'s needs but would like to talk to someone about their concerns and work collaboratively on psychological strategies to give them a \'boost\'.
