About
I completed my training in Clinical Psychology in 1990 and hold a first class Master’s degree in psychology and a post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, University of Canterbury. I am a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. I have authored a number of publications on youth forensic topics and have worked for over 10 years in the role of Clinical Director for several non-governmental organisations (Youth Horizons/Kia Puawai and Barnardos NZ) specialising in youth with severe externalising behaviour problems. I have been working in private practice for the last 15 years. I have extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide array of mental health disorders. I have provided independent psychological reports for the Youth and District courts, Accident Compensation Corporation, Oranga Tamariki (child welfare and youth justice services), District Health Boards, New Zealand Police, NZ Veterans Affairs, and various insurance companies. In addition, I clinically supervise clinical and registered Psychologists throughout New Zealand. My registration number with the New Zealand Psychologist’s Board is 90-01174.
