David Kahn Higgs

I received both my Bachelor of Psychology (2004) and my Masters of Social Science in Clinical Psychology (2008) at the North-West University South Africa. Thereafter I worked at a psychiatric hospital of which my responsibilities included assessing client needs working as part of a multidisciplinary team devising/monitoring appropriate treatment programs providing psychotherapy and carrying out applied research. In 2017 I was employed by Counties Manukau DHB New Zealand as a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Coordinator to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Community Service. This role included supporting clients and their families within the community offering therapeutic and culturally appropriate interventions and assessments. Currently I am mostly in private practice and has a consultant role at Taunaki Child and Adolescent Community Mental Health Services.
