About
Kia ora, I'm Erin, an Ōtautahi-based Clinical Psychologist specialising in perinatal mental health (pregnancy and postpartum) as well as a range of other presenting concerns, including trauma, anxiety and mood disorders. I enjoy working with people to understand their world, and strive to create a warm, safe and responsive therapeutic environment that supports people to identify and explore current difficulties, build and strengthen awareness and skills, in order to make values-based changes in their lives. I am trained to deliver a range of evidence-based interventions for mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties. My practice is largely informed by compassion-focussed, mindfulness based approaches, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
