Marie completed her Clinical Psychology training at the University of Canterbury in 1997. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and has worked privately in Christchurch and Tauranga for over 20 years.
Marie has clinical expertise with eating disorders and child and adolescent psychology and adults. She tends to work with children, young people and their families and adults regarding anxiety, mood problems, relationship problems, developmental issues and neurodivergence. She also offers supervision to a range of health professionals. Marie most commonly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapy approaches, however she has a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Marie works with GP’s and other medical specialists as required.
