ABOUT US

MindMatters Clinic are a psychology-led organisation of leading experts across Aotearoa. Check out our amazing team! www.mindmatters.clinic/about. We are on a mission to improve people’s experience of wellbeing support by matching with the right clinician for them, often via telehealth. We also support organisations in developing mental health and wellbeing frameworks, resources, and facilitating training workshops.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a remote contract role for a registered clinical psychologist ½ a day up to 5 days per week depending on your availability. You MUST be interested in assessments as there is significant demand for these, particularly for ADHD. We can provide full training if this is an area that you are less familiar with. These are referred by organisations as well as self-referrals.

This role would especially suit someone seeking the flexibility of telehealth work, additional income to supplement an employment role, or looking to start private practice.

You will get:

  • Flexible hours and location – work from home
  • Private rates without the admin
  • Simplicity - one assessment equates to multiple therapy clients
  • Great support, including training and access to supervision as needed
  • Professional development in a rapidly developing area of clinical psychology
  • A role that genuinely helps people – our clients love working with us
  • A psychology-led company that values and respects you and your profession, and is values-based (not only for profit)

You will:

  • Have full registration with the New Zealand Psychologist Board - non-negotiable!
  • Be available for a minimum of 4 hours per week
  • Have a passion for helping people
  • Love to learn, including an interest in learning more about mental health and neurodivergence
  • Be person-centred, kind and have sound ethics

Preferred:

  • 2+ years’ experience in an MDT role e.g., Te Whatu Ora mental health service.
  • Registered with the NZPB under the Clinical scope of practice
  • Lived experience is considered an asset to the position
  • We’re keen to ensure we offer a service that works for everyone, so we encourage applications from people with under-represented demographics in the field of psychology. We’re a rainbow-friendly and neurodivergent-friendly practice and have universal accommodations, such as flexible working and providing interview questions in advance, but also open to other specific reasonable accommodations that may benefit you.
  • If you happen to practice from a Te Ao Māori lens - we also work with Iwi and can potentially connect you with some awesome, genuinely Kaupapa Māori mahi if you’re interested. Have a kōrero with us : )
